Collating a variety of new and classic Electronic, ranging from Lo-Fi House to Drum & Bass, the show intends to serve a boost of energy and purpose into the proceedings of life, with its first episode featuring tracks by IAMNOBODI, Fred again…, Prospa, The Blaze and more. After all, the journey and the accompanying musical backdrop is just as important as the destination itself.
We spoke to the brains behind the show and self-confessed Electronic head, Gee Yasmin, about curating a vibe catered to all journeys and all destinations.

What is the premise of Gee’s Journey Juice?
Gee: In the same way a gin and tonic can accompany a taxi ride to the club or a coffee can accompany the office commute, Gee's Journey Juice is there to brighten the listener’s day as they journey from A to B. Primarily an Electronic music mix, Gee's journey Juice is there to help you cruise through any journey; physical or mental. With a mixture of new songs, old songs, big artists and more under the radar artists, this mix is the ideal backdrop to any adventure you may be on.
How did the idea of the show come about?
G: I’ve always been a total Electronic music head and have been curating playlists in and around this genre since I was throwing house parties back in school. I absolutely love sharing songs with people who may not have heard them before and explaining the way I came across the song - which isn't possible just through playlists. I wanted to craft a mix where I could engage with the listener and where the show would become the soundtrack to their month. The name ‘Gee's Journey Juice’ came about as I wanted this mix to accompany the good times in life, in the same way drinking a journey juice will mostly be en route to a fun new adventure - be it a club, festival, party or a day out in the sunshine.

What do you want listeners to take from Gee’s Journey Juice?
G: I want people to walk away from listening to Gee's Journey Juice filled with excitement for what's to come next in their life. The combination of different Electronic music styles within one mix allows for a variety of different reflection points, all whilst keeping the vibe high. I want the listener to hear how I fell in love with each track but then to form their own adoration for the artists in the mix; be it through the tracks I have showcased or through the discovery of new songs.
