Check out our selections below.

Root Nativo

If you’ve followed the UK club scene closely of late, CXLI may be familiar to you. The London-based brothers and DJ duo have been lighting up the scene with their International approach to music, leaving no stone unturned in their sets as they spin music of all kinds. As curators of the Bundarica club night, they’ve had plenty of practice testing their exciting approach. On Root Nativo, now available on Keakie, CXLI explores the confines of their Colombian heritage and Afro-inspired club sounds from around the globe, with an undertone of the UK underground. Expect an eclectic blend of Reggaeton, Afrobeats, Dembow, Amapiano, Baile Funk, UK Funky and more vibrations to get your leg shaking.

TULU - The Underground Link Up

Serving as a launching pad for artists, TULU is a Coventry-based creative hub and agency self-described as “a place for independent artists to connect, create and collaborate with other artists, industry professionals and brands.” Helping rappers and singers to take a first step in kicking down the door of the music industry, via live performances and more, TULU offers the infrastructure for new generations to take their career in the direction they choose. Beyond that, TULU is a space for music heads, as exemplified in its new show on Keakie in which hosts and residents play their favourite tracks around. The first episode, hosted by rapper Flowlosopha, features UK Hip Hop heat by Little Simz, Kojey Radical, Knucks, Jay Malakhi and CMPND.

Gimme A Break

Leeds-based outfit Gimme A Break (GAB) is a new label pushing the best in new UKG and Breakbeat. Dropping records and mixes in the hope, in their own words, “to align the city’s electronic music with the rest of the country,” the label, headed up by DJs Saucebag and van roÿ, are quietly going about their business in showcasing Bass music in all its glory. Since its formation, GAB has released output by the likes of Donsurf, Introspekt, Nova Chek and Oldboy, tracks that can be found in their new series which alternates between mixes from the GAB residents and their favourite selectors from their home turf of West Yorkshire and further afield.
